PondStarter immediately conditions tap, rain, and well water to biotope-appropriate pond water. It removes harmful heavy metal compounds, increases and stabilizes the true carbonate hardness, and the pH value.

Acidic, soft, or pH-unstable water, as well as water with insufficient carbonate hardness, is treated to provide the pond inhabitants with optimal living conditions. The delicate mucous membranes of the fish are naturally protected, and the important bacteria for pond startup are promoted.

Detailed description

PondStarter also detoxifies chlorinated and metal-contaminated water (e.g., tap water from copper pipes or rainwater contaminated with air pollutants) and makes it optimal for use in the pond. The product is completely harmless to humans and animals in water.

Also good to know:
PondStarter reduces the corrosion of pumps and pipes.

Expert tip

Limitation of effect:
With continuous entry of acids or alkalis (e.g., through certain types of concrete or cement), PondStarter is consumed more quickly. After water changes, a re-dosing may be necessary.

Interaction with other products:
Ideally, apply PondStarter one day before algaecides (e.g., AlgoSol, AlgoSol forte, FadenalgenVernichter). All other Söll pond care products can be combined without problems. Longer-lasting turbidities can usually be removed with SauerstoffAktiv.

Application and dosage recommendation

Apply after heavy rain and when refilling or newly filling the pond with tap, rain, or well water. Spread evenly over the pond – never dissolve beforehand.

Dosage: 100 g PondStarter per 1,000 liters of pond water.
For very low pH values (e.g., with rain or well water), a double dosage is recommended. PondStarter cannot be overdosed.
