The gravel vacuum allows a pond vacuum to directly vacuum gravel surfaces in swimming ponds and natural pools. Its funnel shape gently lifts the gravel, preventing it from being pulled all the way up to the hose outlet. This allows for quick and safe cleaning of gravel surfaces without risk of hose clogging. The transparent dome makes it possible to observe the amount of debris entering the hose and to continue using the gravel vacuum once sediment and plant debris have been removed. This visual inspection also helps conserve water.

The gravel vacuum, with its 38 mm connection, fits perfectly onto standard floating hoses. The connection is secured with a 1 1/2" union nut and can be replaced with a connection of a different diameter if needed. The aluminum holder for the telescopic pole can be adjusted to a fixed angle using a thumbscrew. This only increases friction; it does not provide a rigid fix. This allows for better control of the gravel vacuum than if it were loosely mounted on an axle.

Note: This gravel vacuum is not suitable for use on foil surfaces. In cases of heavy sludge buildup, there is a risk of it becoming stuck.
